Gin Cocktail Bar in the Surrey Hills
We have two exceptional cocktail bars serving G&Ts and creative cocktails just the way our distillers like them after a long day crafting fabulous spirits. The Orangery Bar is a characterful cocktail bar, where we grow our own citrus trees for making limited edition gin, and the Calf Shed is a sympathetically restored heritage farm building with a rustic bar. In the summer we offer outdoor seating so guests can enjoy the natural beauty of the Surrey Hills. We have an exciting lineup of street food to complement our unique range of gins and we have a happy hour on Friday afternoons.
THE ORANGERY BAR
The Orangery Bar is a modern agricultural building with panoramic doors that open fully in the Summer, and under-floor heating beneath the polished concrete floor to keep warm in the Winter. The long bar is made from quartz and the walls are faux green-walls. Seating is on rattan armchairs decorated with botanical print cushions and faux sheepskins. Festoon lanterns and upcycled porcelain gin bottles provide cosy ambient lighting. We grow our own citrus trees to use the leaves, blossom and fruit for gin production, hence the name Orangery.
THE CALF SHED BAR
The Calf Shed is a characterful heritage building that was originally used to shelter cows and their calves. It was left unused for years before we renovated it, restoring the original features and installing a zinc bar and log-burning stove. It has a rustic feel and is reminiscent of a ski chalet. We hold private events, tasting experiences and cocktail masterclasses in the Calf Shed. In the busy Summer months we open it up for additional seating.
The cocktails we develop and make at our bars showcase the gins, rums, and absinthe we produce in the distillery. We make the finest G&T's anywhere on the planet, carefully and skilfully garnished to enhance the drinking experience.
We've developed our own bartending style that draws from Japanese cocktail bartending with its mastery of techniques and attention to detail. We are focused on precision and balance, showing each drink a maniacal level of care and attention. We don't rush; great cocktails take time to produce and we won't cut corners. Every ingredient is carefully measured to produce a consistent and balanced drink every time.
We offer several experiences including a Bottomless Brunch, in which guests have unlimited* G&Ts for two hours, and Cocktail Masterclass where guests learn how to make delicious cocktails like a pro.
Bar food is important when spending the afternoon or evening sipping cocktails. Our famous Bottomless Brunches are accompanied with five courses and we have bar snacks including olives, flatbreads and pizza available for the afternoons and evenings.
We have a programme of vibrant street-food vans lined up for Fridays and Saturdays.
