Rip

Hospitality

As an avid Spirits collector, Rip learned about the Gin Kitchen when they were based at the Spotted Dog in Dorking and after buying his first bottle of Dancing Dragontail he was hooked. For a number of years he has been working as an Events Angel in his spare time, after Helen and Kate invited him to become one of the family, and he enjoys nothing more than sharing the delights of GK gin with visitors to the distillery or the various events they attend.

What do you do at the Gin Kitchen?

No.1 The people. No.2 The Spirits. No.3 The constant voyage of discovery - and everybody’s invited.

What do you like about working at the Gin Kitchen?

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

Skiing (when possible) , walking, kayaking and helping out when I can.

Favourite Gin Kitchen Spirit:

Blushing Monkey Pink Gin

Favourite cocktail:

I forget it’s name (thanks to Helen I had too many to remember) but it is primarily Eternal Absinthe and Rye Whiskey - I’m sure Kate will know. (Kate says it's a Sazerac!)

Favourite quote:

“Before you judge a person, walk a mile in their shoes. After that, who cares?… They’re a mile away and you’ve got their shoes!”
